Hello everyone! How are you all? Today I will be reviewing yet another Victoria's Secret goody. I know I said I'd stop reviewing this kind of products but I will make this the very last; Not unless someone requests it.
Here I have Victoria's Secret Sun Kissed gift set. Again, this was given to me as a birthday gift by either tita Vicky/Sora. Thank you po! If you want to know more about the products/set please keep reading.
The set contains a 2-in-1 wash & scrub, a nail polish and a tinted self-tanning gel. The best thing about the gift set? Definitely the lovely case!
The 2-in-1 wash & scrub came in a squeeze tube. See more information below.
The consistency of the scrub is gel-like and it has little white beads which I guess help with the exfoliating power of the product. It's not super sticky but it's actually thick. The scent reminds me of mangoes but it fades into a subtle marshmallow scent. It did moisturize and smoothen my skin. I think this is a wonderful find. I give its overall appeal and benefits two thumbs up! Plus, it says at the back that it is a healthy combo of Vitamin E and C!
• Moisturizing• Smoothening
• A little goes a long way
• Smells really nice
• Microbead exfoliants
• Contains Vitamins E and C
• The product doesn't fill the whole tube• Tested on animals (there was a beagle logo at the back of the set note)
Moving on to the next treasure: The PINK orange nail polish. Now, VS nail polishes have a bad rep, well at least to me, in terms of quality. The last time I had a VS PINK nail polish, I didn't like it. And as bias as this sounds, this nail polish is just not good enough for my liking.
While it is better than the last one I had, this one has the same thickness in it that just made it hard to apply evenly; Not to mention it dries very fast for something that is sticky and thick. I honestly don't know how to apply nail polish properly, I am not a nail polish expert as well, but I know a good nail polish when I have one. And this one ain't just that "good one". But I really like the vibrant color, I'll give this 2 brownie points for that.
• Vibrant color• Cute packaging
• Dries into a matte finish
• Dries fast• Thick
• Hard to even out
Last but not the least: The sun kissed tinted self-tanning gel. I honestly don't know what's the big deal with all these tanning products when it's easier to go out and get a tan yourself. But given that it's already here, I'm just gonna proceed anyway.
Victoria's Secret, you really swoon me with your packaging. The tube is gorgeous and classy, I'll give it that. The consistency is not that sticky but still has that gel in it; Almost like syrup. The product itself is chocolate brown but fades to an invisible brown glow afterwards. From the looks of it, this won't last long unless you really take the time to apply this on your body. The intimidating part is the scent; As soon as I held this close to my nose, it stinged me. The scent is very strong and the closest I can compare this to is ethyl alcohol. But it doesn't end there, the scent fades to a strong vanilla odor; I doubt that it will appeal to everyone.
• Fades to a nice bronze glow• Gives you the tan it claims
• Cute packaging
• Might stain clothes• Strong scent
• Does not contain sunscreen
• Might not last long
• Takes time to apply
Even if I really didn't dig all of the items in this set, I still think it's a steal. I mean, $24 and you get 3 items plus this cute pouch is really not a bad deal!
Would I recommend this? I honestly won't. Like I said on my last post, some items are recommendable if sold individually. The item I would recommend, though, is the wash & scrub.
That's it for this review! Hope you enjoyed reading. See you on my next post. Stay Gorgeous! ♥
