Beauty: Victoria's Secret Surfer Pink Color Kit; REVIEW!

Annyeong, blogbear! How have you been? I hope you are doing well~ Anyway, it is I, czarinabear, and I came for another item review! It's been a while - as if a week ago is "a while" - since I last reviewed an item. My blog was under construction (lmao) but now it's all done! I am back in business!

I will be reviewing Victoria's Secret's Surfer Pink Color Kit, which was given to me as a gift on my birthday. TMI. Here's the kit:

SURFER PINK COLOR KIT

The kit includes a pink blush, a pink nail polish, and a pink lip gloss:

LIP GLOSS, NAIL POLISH, AND BLUSH.

The blush is stored in a plastic glass (did I make sense?) compact which is cool. The blush has a shimmery finish. It is very pigmented and very pink - it's the type of pink that doesn't look natural, well, for me it doesn't because my skin is yellow white and is slightly tanned.

SWEET PINK BLUSH

I wouldn't recommend this to people with warm undertones meaning people who have yellow white skin, and yellow tan skin because the blush will contrast those skin colors and will only appear unnatural. Not recommendable to people with dark brown skin as well. Although, I would recommend this to people with cool undertones meaning people with pinkish white skin since it'll blend very well with their natural rosiness and will accentuate it. It will look best on people with tawny skin! However, you can still use this even if you're a warm undertoned person. Apply it very lightly and you're done!

SWATCHES ON MY FINGERS

Likes:

• Very light
• Not too chalky in texture
• Easy to blend
• Very pigmented
• Travel-friendly packaging

Dislikes:

• It's unnatural pink finish

Rate: 7.5/10

If you're a fan of nail polishes and everything pink, then you're in for a great treat. This pink nail polish is one of my favorite nail candies ever mainly because of it's color. It is somewhere between deep pink and persian rose. But I am guessing it is a combination of both

A LOVELY TREAT FOR YOUR NAILS

The substance gets a little sticky when exposed too long but it's fine. When applied on bare fingernails (without the coats whatsoever) it lasts for a week before it starts chipping but I bet it would last longer if applied with a colorless top coat.

NAIL CANDY FTW~

Likes:

•  A combination of deep pink and persian rose
• Lasts long when applied with top coat

Dislikes:

• Gets sticky and stringy when exposed too long

Rate: 8/10

Last but not the least, the lip gloss. I am in love with this lip gloss. It is so pretty! It comes in a plastic tube the size of a hand from the middle finger down to the end of the palm though it's just a rough estimation.

PINK LIP GLOSS!

One thing about this lip gloss is its applicator. I get very OC when it comes to applicators. I am not comfortable with those wands and dip-ins like how can you use a wand that you've contaminated with your lips and dipped back into a sealed bottle? I am not saying I don't use glosses with wands, I just think that glosses in squeeze bottles are more hygienic than those with wands. Anyway, I am not sure what you call this applicator but it looks like it has been diagonally cut from the opening.

THE APPLICATOR

When applied, the lipgloss leaves a smooth metallic finish. If you look closely, you will see that it has shimmers in it which is totally fine because it's not that obvious. I am not a fan of shimmer lip glosses but the shimmer to this doesn't even function as a shimmer (I just said shimmer 4 times). The purpose of the glitters is to balance the glossiness. The gloss is too metallic and the glitters soften. It lasts long! Though the shine will get dry the longer you have it on, worry not, it'll still look fab without the shine! It'll give off a pink balmy texture.

BARE LIPS (left); LIPS WITH GLOSS (right)

Likes:

• The applicator
• The faint and natural color of the gloss
• The metallic finish
• The longevity of the product
• The aftermaths

Dislikes:

• It's too perfect lmao

Rate: 10/10

That's it! I hope I was somehow helpful to you. If you're thinking of buying this you could browse through EBay. The prices would range from $20-25 inclusive of shipping fee. Until next time~ A happy bear is a lucky bear! ♥
